Parisbynumbers and its Paris based management partner, PA Location offer furnished apartments in Paris to rent for periods from several days to one year. Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not the owners of the apartments offered.

Use of this website

This notice is intended to inform you of and explain our terms and conditions for online, email, telephone and face to face communications whether you do or do not complete a booking of one or more of our apartments. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and every page of our website.

Accessing, browsing and using this website and consequential email, telephone and face to face communications are subject to your irrevocable acceptance without modification of our terms and conditions and you agree to access, browse or use this website and communicate with us in accordance with these terms and conditions which include our privacy policy, a statement of which you can also access and read on our homepage and every page of our website.

If you do not read or accept these terms and conditions you should not use this website.

You confirm that you are of sufficient legal age to use this website and to create a binding legal and financial obligation for any liability you may incur as a result of the use of this website and communication with us by email or telephone.

Parisbynumbers reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time as appropriate. It is the responsibility of those using this website and communicating with us to review these terms and conditions in case of a change since the last time of use.

This notice also applies to all information specifically unrelated to the booking of an apartment but collected directly or indirectly from the Parisbynumbers website or consequent email, telephone or face to face communications. The types of information referred to in this instance include information about Paris, transport, weather, events, comments on Parisbynumbers BLOG, etc.

Parisbynymbers is not responsible for the accuracy of such information, errors or omissions, misrepresentation by or of information provided by third parties, content of external links on our website and any damage or loss as a result.

Information provided on this website and subsequent email, telephone and face to face communications about the advantages to an owner of short term rentals and why an owner should work with Parisbynumbers and PA Location are merely intended to encourage owners to consider renting out their Paris apartment(s) on a short term basis and to have this service managed by us. They are neither a promise nor a guarantee of specific benefits or services to an owner.

If you become an owner client of Parisbynumbers and PA Location, you will do so under the terms and conditions of a specific contract.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By paying the reservation deposit and checking the acceptance box on this website the tenant acknowledges having read and accepted our terms and conditions as set out here.

Payments

Your reservation will not be confirmed until we have received your deposit. You will then receive an email to confirm you reservation. The balance of the rental fee must be paid at least one month before the start of the rental period. We accept payment by credit card or bank transfer.

Arrival and Departure

Upon arrival at the apartment you will be greeted by a representative of PA Location, our Paris based management partner. About one week before your arrival, assuming we have your travel details, you will receive an email with the name and telephone number of the representative in charge of your check-in and other relevant information.

Please call the representative immediately upon arrival in Paris (from the airport or train station or at least 50 km from Paris if arriving by car). This will inform the representative if you are likely to arrive at the apartment earlier or later than originally planned.

Check-in time is at 2pm but if there is nobody else checking out of your apartment on the day you arrive it may be possible to check in earlier. We will not necessarily have this information when you make your reservation, so please contact us in advance to clarify if early check-in time is possible. See Early/Late Check-in below regarding check-in before 8am or after 8pm and for check-in at any time on 25 December and 1 January.

Check-out time is 10am, but if no other guests are arriving on the day you leave or early the following morning it may be possible check out later. This can only be confirmed closer to your stay or when you arrive.

If you arrive at the apartment very late (after 8pm) or very early (before 8am), you are advised to book a taxi via our partner transfer company. Our partner company driver will meet you at airport arrivals, help with your luggage and take you to the apartment and give you the keys and the access code. If you do not choose to use this service, a €75 supplement is payable to the representative at the apartment. See Early/Late Check-in below

On arrival at the apartment:

• You will receive the keys and access codes to the apartment and building
• Our representative will explain how to use the appliances (heating, air conditioning, washing machine, TV, internet etc)
  
• You will be asked to sign the rental agreement and debit authorization for the security deposit. You can view this document in advance on your online customer space.
  

In the case of late arrival (where you use our partner transfer company) we will make an appointment for one of our representatives to meet you on the following day.

Early/Late Check-in

Set out hereafter is the Early/Late Check-in policy of our Paris based management partner, PA Location. Please note that for any arrival on the 25th of December and the 1st of January, this policy applies for check-in at any time of the day.

1. Check-in is normally at 2pm but if there is no check-out on the apartment on the day you arrive, we will facilitate a check-in anytime between 8am and 8pm.
   
2. If you arrive before 8am or after 8pm at the apartment, you are strongly advised to book a taxi via our partner to make the check-in easier, if not, you will have to pay an extra charge of €75 to the check-in representative.
   
3. If you book a taxi through us in the case of a late or early arrival, we will give the apartment keys to the taxi driver who will give you access to the apartment. In this instance, the full rent for the apartment will have had to have been paid in advance of your arrival in Paris. In advance of your arrival you will also have to provide us with your credit card details for the security deposit which is normally added to the rental contract signed on arrival at a normal check-in time (nothing is charged to the credit card unless damage to the apartment is noticed after your departure). We will not authorize the taxi driver to hand over the keys without this information being provided in advance.
   
4. Following an early or late check-in with our taxi partner, if you need any help in relation to the apartment (operation of equipment etc.), we are very happy to schedule an appointment with our own check-in representative at the apartment for later in the day (or the following day).
   
5. Taxi partner prices to/from the apartment: CDG airport --> Apartment :75€ / 105€ for 6 adults and over; Orly airport --> Apartment: 65€ / 95€ for 6 adults and over; Train station (in Paris) --> Apartment: 45€ / 60€ for 6 adults and over.
   
6. Check-out is normally no later than 10am. If the next guest is not due to check in on the day you leave or early the following morning, you can generally check-out whenever you wish on the day of your departure. Nevertheless, if you want to be sure to be able to spend the afternoon/evening in the apartment, you are strongly advised to book an extra night.
   
7. When you book a taxi service with our partner, the driver will meet you at arrivals or at the head of the platform (if you arrive by train). It is strongly advised to call us if you cannot see him. If you use another taxi while the driver is waiting for you, the cost of the transfer will still be charged.
   

Security deposit

Your credit card details must be provided when signing the rental agreement. This will authorize the debit of this card account in the event of damage caused to the apartment and/or the shared spaces in the apartment building. Depending on the characteristics and contents of the apartment and the building the safety deposit amount will be between €2,000 and €8,000. The funds are not blocked in advance and the safety deposit is only charged to the cardholder's account in the event of a problem.

In the event of damage caused to the apartment, Parisbynumbers and/or PA Location will provide relevant documentation to justify the amount charged to the guest's credit card within 30 days of the date of departure. If there is a problem and the card cannot be debited, the guest is expected to take the necessary measures to rectify the situation. If the cost of damage to the apartment exceeds the amount of the safety deposit, then the guest will be held accountable for the difference.

Insurance cover for damages up to a value of €2,500 is included in the optional insurance policy (see Cancellation Policy below).

Unavailability of an apartment

Unlike hotel rooms, the apartments we offer are unique. If between the time of reservation and arrival, for reasons beyond our control, we deem it necessary to make the reserved apartment unavailable, Parisbynumbers and PA Location will make every effort to provide a list of alternative apartments. If the alternative apartment chosen is more expensive than the one originally reserved, the guest will not be expected to pay the difference. Parisbynumbers and PA Location will reimburse the difference if the alternative apartment chosen is less expensive than the one originally reserved. Any reimbursement will be credited to the credit card used for the original payment.

When an apartment is deemed unavailable, the guest may:

• Accept our proposal of an alternative apartment
  
• Choose another apartment from our website in which case the guest will be charged for the difference in price, if any
  
• Refuse any proposed alternative or decide not to choose another apartment from our website. Parisbynumbers and PA Location will then reimburse all payments, which will be credited to the card used. No other card may be credited with the reimbursement.

If Parisbynumbers and PA Location are unable to propose an alternative apartment, the guest will be immediately reimbursed if another apartment from our website is not selected.

Cancellation policy

If you wish to cancel your stay there are three possibilities:

1. If you cancel more than two months prior to your arrival, the deposit less a €75 administration fee will be fully refunded.
   
2.  If you cancel less than two months prior to your arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
   
3.  If you cancel less than one month prior to your arrival, neither the deposit nor the balance paid will be refunded.

At the time of booking Parisbynumbers offers you the option of subscribing to a cancellation insurance policy. We highly recommend you do this if you do not already have this cover yourself. This insurance is not available for any reservation longer than three months.

Advantages of subscribing to this policy:

1. If you have to cancel your trip at any time for the specific reasons outlined in the insurance contract, your deposit and balance will be refunded.
2. If you have to interrupt your stay for the specific reasons outlined in the insurance contract, the remaining nights will be refunded.
   
3. The insurance policy also covers any damage you might cause in the apartment up to a value of €2,500

The cost of the insurance cover is 3% of the total rental amount. Please carefully read the sample insurance contract in your online customer space.

Presentation of apartments

Parisbynumbers advertises the apartments based on descriptions and photos provided by PA Location on behalf of the various apartment owners. Our aim is to provide a realistic impression of the apartments we offer for rent but we cannot be held responsible for any subsequent changes in decoration, furniture or contents made by an owner.

In choosing an apartment as advertised by Parisbynumbers, a guest accepts responsibility for their choice. If a guest is not satisfied with any aspect of an apartment upon arrival, Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not obliged to change anything or provide an alternative apartment.

Use of the apartment

The rental agreement provides for private use only of an apartment, meaning that:

• it is prohibited to use an apartment for professional purposes (company offices, events, shows, presentations, photo shoots, etc.)
  
• guests should avoid making unreasonable and excessive noise between 10pm (22h) and 8am (8h).
  
• the number of guests in an apartment must not exceed the capacity of that particular apartment as listed on the Parisbynumbers website.

Pets are not allowed in the apartments unless you receive specific authorization from Parisbynumbers or PA Location

If guests and those accompanying them fail to comply with these conditions or demonstrate what is considered as inappropriate behavior, Parisbynumbers and PA Location reserve the right to ask them to vacate the apartment immediately with no refund.

Problems in the apartment during your stay

Parisbynumbers and PA Location will make every effort to resolve problems that occur during a stay whether in the apartment or in any shared spaces in the apartment building. However we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen difficulty that delays or prevents the resolution of a problem. Specifically,

• Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not responsible for the malfunction of a lift/elevator in an apartment building
  
• Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not responsible for any scaffolding or construction works which obstruct the view from an apartment. If we become aware of this type of problem before the arrival of a guest, we will do our best to provide a suitable alternative apartment.
  
• Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not responsible for any noise disturbances from neighbours or construction, cleaning or other service work in the apartment building or any adjoining building.
  
• Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not responsible for any interruption of power, water, heating or any other utility services in an apartment.
  
• Parisbynumbers and PA Location are not responsible for any interruption of internet, telephone or TV services.

Parisbynumbers and PA Location will do whatever is possible to provide any necessary assistance or information in connection with appliances and equipment.
These problems and ones of a similar nature are not considered as grounds for full or partial reimbursement of rent.

Disclaimer:

Parisbynumbers provides an online platform through which you can book an apartment. By making a reservation through Parisbynumbers and paying a deposit you agree to enter into a direct, legally binding contractual relationship with our business partner, PA Location who represent the owner of the apartment. This contract will be available for inspection in your online customer space and is signed on arrival.

The booking service provided by Parisbynumbers and the service provided by PA Location from the time of arrival at your apartment is an integrated one and your combined deposit and balance of rent equates to the total rent due for these services.

Subject to the limitations set out in these terms and conditions we shall only be liable for direct damages actually suffered, paid or incurred by you due to an attributable shortcoming of our obligations in respect of our services, up to an aggregate amount of the total rent due or paid (deposit and balance) for the period of your stay.

We shall not be liable for any punitive, special, indirect or consequential loss or damages, any loss of production, profit, revenue or contract, loss of or damage to goodwill or reputation or loss of claim as a result of a perceived or attributable shortfall in our services or information provided directly or indirectly through our website, emails, telephone calls or face to face communications.
